Five articles, bat, ball, fan, table and chair, are kept one above the other (not necessarily in the same order). The bat is four places above the fan. The table is between the ball and the chair. The chair is three places below the bat. Which article is at the second position from the top?

Solution

The bat is four places above the fan, => Bat is at the top and fan at the bottom.

The table is between the ball and the chair. The chair is three places below the bat, => Table is at the middle and chair is just above fan.

=> Ball is at the second position from the top.
