Question 25

Which two numbers should be interchanged in the following equation to make it correct?
$$779 + 14 \times 21 - 532 \div 41 = 807$$

Solution

If we interchange 532 and 779 then, according to the BODMAS rule,

$$779 + 14 \times 21 - 532 \div 41 = 807$$

= 532 + 14 $$\times$$ 21 - 779 $$\div$$ 41

= 532+294-19

=807
