What is the ratio of the number of females in India in 1961 per thousand males to the number of males in India in 1991 per thousand females ?

Number of females in India in 1961 per thousand males = $$\frac{21\times1000}{23}$$

Number of males in India in 1991 per thousand females = $$\frac{44\times1000}{41}$$

=> Required ratio = $$\frac{21\times1000}{23}:\frac{44\times1000}{41}$$

= $$21\times41:44\times23$$

= $$861:1012$$

=> Ans - (A)
