What is the average number of female employees in the countries IV and VII?

Solution

Females in country IV

= $$(\frac{14}{100} * 86000) - (\frac{18}{100} * 56000)$$

= 12040 - 10080 = 1960

Females in country VII

= $$(\frac{7}{100} * 86000) - (\frac{9}{100} * 56000)$$

= 6020 - 5040 = 980

$$\therefore$$ Required average = $$\frac{1960 + 980}{2}$$ = 1470
