The variation of refractive index of a crown glass thin prism with wavelength of the incident light is shown. Which of the following graphs is the correct one, if $$D_m$$ is the angle of minimum deviation?
$$\mu(\lambda) = a + \frac{b}{\lambda^2} \implies \mu \propto \frac{1}{\lambda^2}$$ (Cauchy's relation)
$$D_m = (\mu - 1)A$$
$$\implies D_m \propto \frac{1}{\lambda^2}$$
As $$\lambda$$ increases from $$400\text{ nm}$$ to $$700\text{ nm}$$, $$D_m$$ decreases continuously and non-linearly.
