$$12 - 8 + 12 \times 9 \div 3 = 9$$

Solution

$$12 - 8 + 12 \times 9 \div 3 = 9$$

In order to correct the above equation , following changes need to be made.

$$12 - 8 \div 12 \times 9 + 3$$

= $$12 - \frac{2}{3} \times 9 + 3$$

= $$12 - 6 + 3$$ =9 

So , the answer would be option a)$$+ and \div$$ .
