The total surface area of a hemisphere is $$1039.5 cm^2$$. Find its diameter (in cm).

Solution

Let radius of hemisphere = $$r$$ cm

Total surface area = $$3\pi r^2=1039.5$$

=> $$3\times\frac{22}{7}\times r^2=1039.5$$

=> $$r^2=1039.5\times\frac{7}{66}=15.75\times7$$

=> $$r=\sqrt{110.25}=10.5$$

$$\therefore$$ Diameter = $$2\times10.5=21$$ cm

=> Ans - (A)
