Find the total surface area $$(in cm^2)$$ of a right circular cylinder of diameter 7 cm and height 6 cm.
Solution
Height of cylinder, $$h=6$$ cm and radius, $$r=\frac{7}{2}=3.5$$ cm
Total surface area of cylinder = $$2\pi r(r+h)$$
= $$2\times\frac{22}{7}\times\frac{7}{2}\times(3.5+6)$$
= $$22\times9.5=209$$ $$cm^2$$
