A piece of paper is folded and cut as shown below in the question figures. From the given answer figures, indicate how it will appear when opened.

Solution

When 1st unfolded vertically, it will have 2 holes at top, 2 at bottom with more gap at centre. If we keep unfolding it horizontally, it will appear as shown in the last figure.

It will not have circular symmetry as shown in third figure, will not have 5 holes as shown in second figure. Also, holes will not be symmetrically placed as shown in first figure.
