The length of the diagonal and the breadth of a rectangle are 25 cm and 7 cm respectively. Find its perimeter (in cm).

Solution

Let length of rectangle = $$l$$ cm and breadth = $$7$$ cm

Also, diagonal = $$d=25$$ cm

=> $$l^2=d^2-b^2$$

=> $$l=\sqrt{(25)^2-(7)^2}$$

=> $$l=\sqrt{625-49}=\sqrt{576}$$

=> $$l=24$$ cm

$$\therefore$$ Perimeter = $$2(l+b)$$

= $$2\times(24+7)=62$$ cm

=> Ans - (D)
