Ram travels towards east covering 5 km. He takes a left turn and travels 10 km more. Then, he takes a right turn and travels another 5 km and finally takes a right turn to cover 10 km. How far is he from his original position?

Solution

Ram travels towards east covering 5 km, then he takes a left turn and travels 10 km towards north. Then, he takes a right turn and travels another 5 km east and finally travels south for 10 km.

Thus, distance between initial and final position = 5 + 5 = 10 km
