If $$P$$ is the smallest number that should be added to 669 to get a perfect square, then what is the value of $$\sqrt{3P + 4}$$?
Since $$25^2 = 625$$ and $$26^2 = 676$$, the next perfect square after 669 is 676. So $$P = 676 - 669 = 7$$. Then $$\sqrt{3 \times 7 + 4} = \sqrt{25} = 5$$.
