The ratio between the length and the breadth of a rectangle is 4 : 3 respectively. Also as perimeter is 112 cms. What is the area of a rectangle ?
Solution
Let the length be l and the breadth be b.
$$\frac{l}{b}=\frac{4}{3}$$
$$b=\frac{3\times l}{4}$$
Also, $$2\times \left(l+b\right) = 112$$
$$l+b = 56$$
$$l+\frac{3\times l}{4}=56$$
$$\frac{7\times l}{4}=56$$
$$l=8\times4=32$$
$$b=56-32=24$$
Area of Rectangle=$$l\times b=32\times 24=768.$$
Hence option B is the correct answer.
