Solution

Let , the number be 'x' .
Given that , $$x^{2}$$ - $$9^{2}$$ = 544 .

so , $$x^{2}$$ = 544 + $$9^{2}$$

$$x^{2}$$ = 625

Hence , x = √625

= 25
