If three numbers are in the ratio of 1:3:5 and their sum is 10,800. Find the largest of the three numbers.

Solution

Ratio of three numbers is 1:3:5.

Let say, numbers are x,3x and 5x.

So,$$x+3x+5x=10800.$$

or,$$9x=10800$$

or,$$x=1200.$$

So, numbers are 1200,3600 and 6000.

So largest number is 6000.

C is correct choice.
