A and B both are walking away from point ‘X. A walked 3 m and B walked 4 m from it, then A walked 4 m north of X and B walked 5 m south of A. What is the distance between them now ?

Solution

Let A and B both started from point X, then A travelled 3 m north and B travelled 4 m south. Again A walked 4 m north and B 5 m towards south.

Thus, total distance between them = 4 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 16 m
