Solution

The pattern here followed is :

$$\frac{36}{2} + 2$$ = 20

$$\frac{20}{2} + 2$$ = 12

$$\frac{12}{2} + 2$$ = 8

$$\frac{8}{2} + 2$$ = 6

$$\frac{6}{2} + 2$$ = 5
