Question 165

$$2\frac{3}{4} \times 5\frac{5}{7} \div 2\frac{4}{9} - (?)=4$$

Solution

$$2\frac{3}{4} \times 5\frac{5}{7} \div 2\frac{4}{9} - (x)=4$$

$$2\frac{3}{4} \times 5\frac{5}{7} \div 2\frac{4}{9}$$ - 4 = x

11/4 * 40/7 ÷ 22/9 - 4 = x

=> $$\frac{45}{7}$$ - 4 = x

=> x = $$\frac{45}{7}$$ - 4 = (45 - 28) / 7 = $$\frac{17}{7}$$

=> x = 23/7
