Question 150

A right prism has triangular base. If v be the number of vertices, e be the number of edges and f be the number of faces of the prism. The value of $$\frac{(v + e - f)}{2}$$ is

Solution

Given, right prism has triangular base

According to the problem,

Number of vertices of the prism = v = 6

Number of edges of the prism = e = 9

Number of faces of the prism = f = 5

$$\therefore\ $$ $$\frac{(v + e - f)}{2}$$ = $$\frac{6+9-5}{2}=\frac{10}{2}=5$$

Hence, the correct answer is Option D
