Solution

Crude oil imports by India in :

1990 = 10

1991 = 35

1992 = 30

1993 = 40

1994 = 30

1995 = 25

1996 = 45

Total imports = 10+35+30+40+30+25+45 = 215

=> Average imports over the years = 215/7 = 30.71

Thus, only in 3 years '1991', '1993' & '1996', the imports were higher than the average imports.
