If the difference between the average of x, y and y, z is 12 then the difference between x and z is:

Solution

Average of $$x,y$$ = $$\frac{(x+y)}{2}$$

Average of $$y,z$$ = $$\frac{(y+z)}{2}$$

According to ques,

=> $$(\frac{x+y}{2})-(\frac{y+z}{2})=12$$

=> $$\frac{x-z}{2}=12$$

=> $$(x-z)=12\times2=24$$

=> Ans - (A)
