The mean deviation of the scores 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13 from their arithmetic mean is

Solution

The mean of the given numbers = 8
The absolute deviations are : 5,3,1,1,3,5 
Sum of absolute deviations = 18
Mean deviation = 18/6 = 3
