Total production of rice in five states = 350+450+575+400+525 = 2300
Now 20 % of 2300 = $$ \dfrac {20}{100} \times 2300 $$
$$\Rightarrow \dfrac{1}{5} \times 2300 $$
$$\Rightarrow 460 $$
We have to find the states in which the production of wheat in more than 460 (in lakh tons)
so states are = statrates are = state A (500), state D (560) and state E (475)
Total numbers of states = 3 Ans
