In a class of 42 children, Joseph's rank is sixteenth from the top. Kevin is seven ranks below Joseph. What is Kevin's rank from the bottom ?

Solution

Total number of children in class = 42

Joseph's rank from top = 16th

Kevin is seven ranks below Joseph, => Kevin's rank from top = 16 + 7 = 23rd

=> Kevin's rank from bottom = (42 - 23) + 1 = 20th

=> Ans - (B)
