In order to pass in an exam a student is required to get 975 marks out of the aggregate marks Piya got 870 marks and was declared failed by 7% What are the maximum aggregate marks a student can get in the examination ?

Solution

The difference between the aggregate mark required to pass and mark scored by Priya = 975 - 870 = 105
Now, 7% of x = 105
0.07*x = 105
x = 1500
Hence, the maximum aggregate mark that can be scored are 1500
The correct option is option A.
