Find the circumference of the circle if its diameter is 42 cm.

Solution

Diameter of circle = 2r = 42 cm

Radius of circle = r = 42/2 = 21 cm

Circumference of the circle = $$2 \times \pi \times r$$

= $$2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times 21$$

= $$2 \times \frac{22}{1} \times 3$$

= 132 cm
