What will come in place of question mark (?) in the following questions ?

Question 129

$$8\frac{2}{5}\times 5\frac{2}{3}+?=50\frac{1}{5}$$

Solution

Let the number to replace the question mark be equal to $$X$$

So, $$8\frac{2}{5}\times 5\frac{2}{3}+X=50\frac{1}{5}$$
Or, $$\frac{42}{5} \times \frac{17}{3} + X = \frac{251}{5}$$
So, $$X = \frac{251}{5} - \frac{714}{15} = \frac{753 - 714}{15} = \frac{39}{15}$$

This equals $$\frac{13}{5} = 2 \frac{3}{5}$$
