Question 128

If the angles of a triangle are (2x - 8)$$^{o}$$, (2x + 18)$$^{o}$$and 6x$$^{o}$$. What is the value of 3x (in degrees)?

Solution

Sum of angles of a triangle = $$180^\circ$$

=> $$(2x-8)^\circ+(2x+18)^\circ+(6x)^\circ=180^\circ$$

=> $$10x+10=180$$

=> $$10x=180-10=170$$

=> $$x=\frac{170}{10}=17$$

$$\therefore$$ $$3x=3\times17=51$$

=> Ans - (C)
