Question 127

56 men can do a job in 14 days. How many additional men are required to do the same job in 8 days?

Solution

Let the extra men required be M

using the formula

$$\frac{M1D1}{W1}$$ = $$\frac{M2D2}{W2}$$

$$\frac{56 \times14 }{W}$$ = $$\frac{8(M+14)}{W}$$

M +56 = 98

M = 42 men
