Solution
Let speed of boat in stream water be 'v' kmph.
Let speed of stream be 'u' kmph.
Speed of boat while going downstream=v+u kmph.
Speed of boat while going upstream=v-u kmph.
According to question,
v+u=16. eq(1)
v-u=11. eq(2)
Solving above two equations,
v = 13.5 kmph, u = 2.5 kmph.
Hence, Option D is correct.
