If, in year 2000, expenditure of company C was Rs. 32 lakhs, what was the income of the company in the same year ?
Solution
Let income of company C in 2000 = Rs. $$x$$
Expenditure = Rs. 32 lakhs
Profit % = 40 %
=> $$\frac{x - 32}{32} \times 100 = 40$$
=> $$100x - 3200 = 1280$$
=> $$100x = 3200 + 1280 = 4480$$
=> $$x = \frac{4480}{100} = 44.8$$ lakhs
