Question 113

A Set A consists of integers 27, 28, 30, 32 and 33. If integer k is included in the average of set A will increase by 30%. What is the value of integer K ?

Average of set A = $$\frac{(27+28+30+32+33)}{5}=\frac{150}{5}=30$$

New average (by adding k) = $$30\times\frac{130}{100}=39$$

=> $$\frac{150+k}{6}=39$$

=> $$150+k=39\times6=234$$

=> $$k=234-150=84$$

=> Ans - (C)
