Question 108

The value of $$\frac{(3.2)^3 - 0.008}{(3.2)^2 + 0.64 + 0.04}$$ is

Solution

we know that $${a^3 - b^3 = (a-b)(a^2 + b^2 + ab)}$$

$$\frac{(3.2)^3 - 0.008}{(3.2)^2 + 0.64 + 0.04}$$

= $$\frac{(3.2)^3 - (0.2)^3}{(3.2)^2 + 0.2 x 3.2 + (0.2)^2}$$

= 3.2 -0.2 (using the abive mentioned theorem)

= 3
