3, 2, 3, 6, 12, 37.5, 115.5

Solution

The numbers are based on the following pattern.

3*0.5 + 0.5 = 2
2*1 + 1 = 3
3*1.5 + 1.5 = 6
6*2 + 2 = 14
14*2.5 + 2.5 = 37.5
37.5*3 + 3 = 115.5

In the series given, we notice that 14 is replaced by 12 and hence the wrong term in the series is 12
