The perimeter ( in cms) of a rhombus whose diagonals are 40 cms and 30 cmsis

Solution

Applying Appolohnius theorem on the rhombus, let each side of the rhombus be "a".

$$a^2+a^2=2\left(20^2+15^2\right)$$

$$2a^2=2\left(625\right)\ or\ a^2=625\ or\ a=25$$

The length of a side is 25cm. Hence perimeter of the rhombus is 100cm.
