What was the percentage increase in the number of defect-free EE type produced in 2001-02 from that in 2000-01?
Solution
Defect-free EE type produced in 2000-01 = 602 - 18 = 584
Defect-free EE type prodcued in 2001-02 = 710 - 20 = 690
% increase = $$\ \frac{\ 690-584}{584}\times\ 100$$ $$\ \approx\ $$ 18%
