The bar graph shows annual Inflation in two years 2015 and 2016 of four countries (A, B, C, D). Study the diagram and answer the following questions.

If inflation is measured as increase in price index and the price index was 200 in the beginning of 2015 in country D then what is the index at the end of 2016?

Solution

Price index at the beginning of 2015 in D = 200

after 2016 it will be $$\frac{102}{100} \times \frac{105}{100} \times 200 = 214.2$$

So the answer is option D.
