Question 10

What is the mean of first hundred natural numbers?

Average of first hundred natural numbers = sum of first hundred natural numbers/100

let us find the sum by AP
a=1, L= 100, n=100
$$Sum= \frac{n(a+l)}{2}$$

$$Sum= \frac{100(1+100)}{2}$$
$$Sum= \frac{100\times(101)}{2}$$
$$Sum= {50\times(101)}$$

$$Sum= 5050$$

$$mean= \frac{5050}{100}$$

$$mean= 50.50$$
