suppose..Let cp be x and sp be y....therefore (2y-x)=3(y-x)..what is the logical meaning of this equation ..pls help

SP is twice of cost price
2y-x=3(y-x)
2y-x=3y-3x
3x-x=3y-2y
2x=y

Sangeeta's answer is correct. If you simplify the equation, you can see that y=2x or that the selling price is twice the cost price.
