NSEJS 2025 Question Paper

The NSEJS 2025 question paper helps students understand the concepts, question formats and problem-solving skills tested in the National Standard Examination in Junior Science. The examination was held on 23 November 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and included 60 questions across Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The paper combines factual questions with numerical problems, diagrams, assertion–reason questions and statement-based questions. Students need to recall scientific concepts and apply them to unfamiliar situations.

Solving this paper under timed conditions can help you assess your preparation. Instead of checking only your total score, identify which topics caused mistakes and which questions took longer than expected. Use these observations to make your next revision session more focused.

NSEJS 2025 Question Paper PDF

Download the NSEJS 2025 question paper PDF below to practise the complete paper at your own pace. For your first attempt, set aside two uninterrupted hours and solve without checking answers or referring to notes.

Keep a separate answer sheet and record questions where you are unsure. This makes it easier to distinguish confident answers from guesses during analysis.

After completing the paper, review incorrect and unattempted questions before moving to another practice test.

NSEJS 2025 Question Paper – Exam Pattern

The NSEJS 2025 exam pattern consisted of two parts: A-1 and A-2. The paper carried 216 marks, with different marking rules for single-correct and multiple-correct questions. The official instructions prohibited calculators.

ParticularsPart A-1Part A-2
Question numbers1–4849–60
Number of questions4812
Answer formatOne correct optionOne or more correct options
Marks for a correct answer+3+6 for the complete correct combination
Negative marking−1 per incorrect answerNo negative marking
Maximum marks14472

In Part A-2, students must select every correct option without selecting any incorrect option to receive six marks. There is no partial credit for an incomplete combination.

This difference matters while practising. A question is not fully solved just because you identify one correct statement. Read and evaluate all four options before finalising your response.

NSEJS 2025 Question Paper: Difficulty Level

The NSEJS 2025 paper can be considered moderate to difficult for preparation purposes, judging by its mix of detailed factual knowledge and multi-step applications. This is a qualitative assessment of the questions, rather than an official difficulty rating.

Some questions allow quick answers through clear conceptual understanding. Others require calculations, interpretation of diagrams or comparison of closely related statements.

SubjectTopics Featured in the PaperMain Challenge
PhysicsMotion, friction, electricity, optics, buoyancy and momentumChoosing the correct approach and completing calculations accurately
ChemistryMole concept, chemical bonding, organic chemistry, periodic properties and acidityConnecting concepts and interpreting structures
BiologyClassification, genetics, plant physiology, human physiology and ecologyRecalling precise facts and evaluating statements

Physics includes situations involving moving objects, electric appliances and optical arrangements. Chemistry requires both numerical work and conceptual comparisons. Biology combines direct knowledge with questions on processes, relationships and experimental setups.

The multiple-correct questions add another challenge because each option needs independent verification. Students should therefore practise accuracy alongside speed instead of judging preparation only by the number of questions attempted.

How to Analyse the NSEJS 2025 Question Paper?

To analyse the NSEJS 2025 question paper effectively, calculate your score, classify your mistakes and revise the concepts behind them. Reviewing the reasoning is more useful than simply memorising the correct options.

  1. Attempt the paper in one sitting: Follow the two-hour limit and avoid interruptions. Mark questions that take excessive time.
  2. Check answers carefully: Use the official answer key, matching question content and options if the numbering differs between versions.
  3. Separate your performance by subject: Record correct, incorrect and unattempted questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  4. Identify the cause of each mistake: Decide whether the error came from a concept gap, calculation, misreading or time pressure.
  5. Reattempt after revision: Solve missed questions again without looking at the previous solution.

Use a simple error log to decide what to study next.

Error TypeAction Required
Concept not understoodRevise the topic and solve basic examples
Calculation errorCheck units, signs and intermediate steps
Incorrect readingUnderline conditions and words such as “incorrect”
Incomplete option selectionEvaluate every statement separately
Excessive time spentPractise similar questions with a timer

Benefits of Solving NSEJS Previous Year Question Papers

NSEJS previous year papers help students connect subject knowledge with actual exam questions. They also reveal whether preparation is balanced across the three sciences.

Understand question formats: Become comfortable with numerical, diagram-based, assertion–reason and multiple-correct questions.

Find weak areas: Identify chapters where you repeatedly lose marks or struggle to begin.

Improve time management: Learn which questions you can solve quickly and which need a second attempt.

Build accuracy: Practise checking calculations, scientific terminology and answer combinations.

Make revision purposeful: Use mistakes to select topics for your next study session.

Previous papers show how concepts have been tested, but they do not guarantee that the same topics or questions will appear again. Use them alongside systematic syllabus revision.

Common Mistakes to Avoid While Solving NSEJS Question Papers

Avoid these habits to make your practice more effective:

Reading solutions too early: Attempt the question independently before checking the method.

Ignoring the marking scheme: Apply the correct rules separately to A-1 and A-2.

Stopping at one correct option: Multiple-correct questions require checking all alternatives.

Spending too long on one problem: Return to difficult questions after completing manageable ones.

Skipping diagrams and units: Small details can change the interpretation of a question.

Reviewing only incorrect answers: Revisit guessed answers even when they earn marks.

Consistent practice works best when followed by careful review. Solve the paper, understand your mistakes and revise before attempting the next test.

NSEJS 2025 Question Paper: Conclusion

The NSEJS 2025 question paper is a useful resource for understanding the exam pattern, marking scheme and questions asked across Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Download the NSEJS 2025 question paper PDF and attempt it within the two-hour limit to assess your preparation. Timed practice helps you identify weak topics, improve question selection and understand where you need to work on speed and accuracy.

Make paper analysis a regular part of your preparation. Review incorrect and guessed answers, note the reasons behind your mistakes, and revise the relevant concepts before attempting another test. Combine NSEJS previous year question papers with systematic syllabus revision and topic-wise practice to build stronger scientific understanding and greater confidence.
