How is IIML E&I program, will they be eligible to sit for placements with PGP people?

I'll graduate around June/July in 2023 and sit for CAT in Nov '23. But the MBA session will start around June in 2024, so i will be a fresher or will it count as a gap year? Will i need a gap certificate? Please clear this up for me.
