If the length of one side and the diagonal of a rectangle are 7 cm and 25 cm respectively, then find its perimeter (in cm).

Solution

Let $$l$$ be the length of rectangle and breadth = $$b=7$$ cm

Diagonal of rectangle = $$d=25$$ cm

=> $$(l)^2=(d)^2-(b)^2$$

=> $$(l)^2=(25)^2-(7)^2$$

=> $$(l)^2=625-49=576$$

=> $$l=\sqrt{576}=24$$ cm

$$\therefore$$ Perimeter of rectangle = $$2(l+b)$$

= $$2(24+7)=2\times31=62$$ cm

=> Ans - (C)
