Let total work to be done = 54 units
Mayur's efficiency = $$\frac{54}{27} = 2$$ units/hr
Jayantika is 100% more efficient than Mayur, => Jayantika's efficiency = $$\frac{100 + 100}{100} \times 2 = 4$$ units/hr
=> Mayur and Jayantika 1 day's work = 2 + 4 = 6 units/hr
$$\therefore$$ Time taken by them to finish the work together = $$\frac{54}{6} = 9$$ hours
