Question 91

If the volume of a cylinder is 385 cubic cm and height is 10 cm, find its radius?

Solution

Let radius of cylinder = $$r$$ cm and height = 10 cm

Volume of cylinder = 385 $$cm^3$$

=> $$\pi r^2 h = 385$$

=> $$\frac{22}{7} \times (r^2) \times 10 = 385$$

=> $$r^2 = \frac{385 \times 7}{22 \times 10} = \frac{7 \times 7}{2 \times 2}$$

=> $$r = \sqrt{\frac{49}{4}} = \frac{7}{2}$$

=> $$r = 3.5$$ cm
