Question 91

If 9x - 6y = 15 and x + 6y = 15, then the value of x,y.

Solution

Equation 1 : 9x - 6y = 15

Equation 2 : x + 6y = 15

Adding equations (i) and (ii), we get :

=> $$(9x+x)=(15+15)$$

=> $$10x=30$$

=> $$x=\frac{30}{10}=3$$

Substituting it in equation (ii), => $$6y=15-3=12$$

=> $$y=\frac{12}{6}=2$$

$$\therefore$$ $$(x,y)=(3,2)$$

=> Ans - (B)
