=> Sum of roots = $$-\frac{-7}{1} = 7$$

(C) : $$x^2 + 2x - 26 = 0$$

=> Sum of roots = $$-\frac{2}{1} = -2$$

(D) : $$x^2 + 5x - 6 = 0$$

=> Sum of roots = $$-\frac{5}{1} = -5$$
