Question 83

If A is 6 times more than B, then by what percentage is B is less than A?

Solution

A is 6 times more than B, => $$A=B+6B$$

=> $$\frac{A}{B}=\frac{7}{1}$$

Let $$A=7$$ and $$B=1$$

$$\therefore$$ Required % = $$\frac{(A-B)}{A}\times100$$

= $$\frac{(7-1)}{7}\times100$$

= $$\frac{600}{7}=85.71\%$$

=> Ans - (B)
