Question 82

The total surface area of a hemisphere is 1848 sq cm, what is its radius? (Take π = 22/7)

Let radius of hemisphere = $$r$$ cm

Total surface area of hemisphere = $$3 \pi r^2 = 1848$$

=> $$r^2 = \frac{1848}{3 \pi}$$

=> $$r^2 = 616 \times \frac{7}{22}$$

=> $$r^2 = 28 \times 7 = 196$$

=> $$r = \sqrt{196} = 14$$ cm

=> Ans - (D)
