$$=$$> $$8x>18$$ and $$x<4$$

$$=$$> $$x>\frac{\ 9}{4}$$ and $$x<4$$

$$=$$> $$x>\ 2.25$$ and $$x<4$$

$$=$$> $$2.25<x<4$$

$$\therefore\ x=3$$
