$$=$$> $$20-5x-4<3x-2>4x-6$$

$$=$$> $$16-5x<3x-2>4x-6$$

$$=$$> $$16-5x<3x-2$$ and $$3x-2>4x-6$$

$$=$$> $$8x>18$$ and $$x<4$$

$$=$$> $$x>\frac{\ 9}{4}$$ and $$x<4$$

$$=$$> $$x>\ 2.25$$ and $$x<4$$

$$=$$> $$2.25<x<4$$

$$\therefore\ x=3$$
