The following pie chart shows the actual number (in '000) of books printed in a year by 6 different publishers.
What is the sum of the central angles made by sector P4 and sector P6?
Sum of the number of books printed by all the publishers = 24000+36000+60000+56000+62000+42000
=Â 280000
So $$360^{\circ\ }\ =\ 280000$$
$$280000=360^{\circ\ }$$
$$1=\frac{360^{\circ\ }}{280000}$$
Sum of the number of books printed by P4 and P6 publishers = 56000+42000 = 98000
$$98000=\frac{360^{\circ\ }}{280000}\times98000$$
Sum of the central angles made by sector P4 and sector P6 = $$\frac{360^{\circ\ }}{280000}\times98000$$
= $$\frac{9^{\circ\ }}{1}\times14$$
= $$126^{\circ\ }$$
